Reading has become a new hobby of mine over the last 18 months, and the pandemic accelerated that hobby even more. But it wasn't always like that! For YEARS I would loath reading or picking up a book, I would make my way here and there through a book or two I liked, skimming or trying mercilessly to get through it, but things changed in 2018.
Since then, I have been on a book crusade reading many books. My choice genre tends to lean towards memoirs, biographies, and history of theater, film, or music. When the pandemic hit, I found it a good a time as any to finally make a dent in the books I had lying around, and I was impressed by how fast I went through them, but also the stories I read and what I learned astounded me. Since the pandemic started in March 2020, I have read 12 books, which is a lot for my standard!
So I thought I would share my favorite quarantine reads with you in hopes they might appeal to you if you are looking for your next book to read. Does one of these books strike your fancy? If so, click the red links to purchase them in either hardback, paperback, or e-book version. I enjoyed each of these for different reasons, but I think my top three are Full Circle, Shortest Way Home, and Singular Sensation (I devoured this one like candy!!!)
